Did you know that Frisco ISD is currently home to five of the top 10 fastest growing neighborhoods in the Metroplex, according to a Metrostudy quarterly report? External demographer PASA Demographics projects the District will add nearly 20,000 students in the next six years, or an average of 2,800 students annually. Generally, the growth of Frisco has been in large part because of the reputation and success of the school district. Also, businesses and families are relocating to Frisco mainly for that same reason---the exceptional schools. Businesses in Frisco are impacted by the fast growth of the district and our community's ability to handle the growth in an effective manner. Due to this unprecedented expansion, FISD must prepare to accommodate this exponential growth. Voters will be asked to consider funds to provide educational facilities for up to 66,000 students - a number the District is projected to reach by 2020. The Frisco ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to put this $775 million bond package on the May 10<x-apple-data-detectors://9/> ballot, a plan developed by a committee of 27 parents and community members. Details of the FISD bond package can be found here<http://www.friscoisd.org/news/2014/02/10/bond-election>. The Frisco Chamber of Commerce supports the passage of the 2014 Bond as an advocate for businesses in our community.
